J. W. Hammond

J. W. Hammond was a self-taught African American poet who contributed to her local newspaper, The Monitor, in Omaha. Hammond’s poetry was also anthologized in Negro Poets and Their Poems (The Associated Publishers, Inc., 1923), edited by Robert T. Kerlin.
